A Bit About Me
Meeku founded SaSo in 2017, inspired by his family. He was born in Zambia, Africa and educated in the UK. For the past 20 years he, and his family, have lived and worked in Jersey.
Meeku is our CEO responsible for developing the long-term strategy for SaSo and supporting our Management team in the business development, finance, operations and risk and governance of SaSo as well as managing client relationships in Jersey. Over the years he has created deep relationships with private clients and professionals in the Channel Islands and has extensive experience of owning, managing and operating regulated financial advisory-led organisations having done so since starting in private practice in 2006. Through this time, he has been involved with acquisitions on both sides which has helped frame SaSo to build towards a progressive, relationship-led and dynamic business.
Meeku is a Certified Financial Planner (Level 7) and Chartered Wealth Manager (Level 6) with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments, as well as member of the Institute of Directors. He also has the Certificate in Compliance from the International Compliance Association. His prior community work has included being a member on the management board, including the Investment Sub Committee, of the Public Employees Contributory Retirement Scheme (PECRS) which serves over 10,000 members and a significant proportion of the Jersey working population.
He is married with 2 children and when time allows, he enjoys playing (and watching) various sports and travelling with the family.
